Communal Pond Site – Upgrade

The residents requested upgrading to the pond area, which should include better access for all, including those with mobility issues. We created a wheelchair friendly access to the rear, with a new simple handrail, allowing an unimpeded view to the pond itself (which contained fish).

The surfacing of the path incorporated recycled crushed tarmac, which formed a firm surface when compacted. A new access gate was built so that the area was completely safe when unattended. Low ground cover planting was added around the pond to disguise the liner edge and a new filtration system installed to improve the quality of the water.
